Although the foundation is not political it seeks to advocate for the well being of those in need and undeserved. Through a series of partnerships , the foundation works as conduit for resources and economic aid in economically impacted areas across the Pennsylvania.
The foundation is currently in process of establishing a renewable annual education grant program targeting student across Pennsylvania who show educational promise and a financial need . This program will be limited to those student pursuing secondary education.
For two decades the foundation has partnered with the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand of Pennsylvania to the Prince Hall Children's Festival in the Hunting Park neighborhood in Philadelphia.
This festival brings a vast resource of wellness services and fun activities to this under served community.
Our namesake Absalom Jones was the first black and freedman to be ordained as a priest. Jones took part in the first group of African Americans to petition the U.S. Congress.
Their petition related to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793, which they criticized for encouraging cruelty and brutality, as well as supporting the continuing criminal practice of kidnapping free blacks and selling them into slavery. As our namesake, the foundation works to give voices to the voiceless and empowered those in search of equality, justice and socioeconomic parity.
